Meet the Team
Joseph is responsible for Business Development and serves as General Counsel. He has experience in landlord-tenant matters, in addition to a broader litigation background.
Prior to 701 Capital, Joseph worked at A.T. Kearney, where he advised complex multinational businesses on strategic and operational issues. Prior to his time as a strategy consultant, Joseph advised on corporate tax issues, and subsequently practiced law with a focus on litigation.
Joseph has a BA from the University of Michigan, a JD from Washington & Lee University School of Law, and a MBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. Joseph is both a Licensed Attorney and Real Estate Broker in New York.
Emerson is responsible for asset management and acquisitions. He has sourced, screened, and negotiated the acquisition of multi-family/mixed-use properties and served as asset manager for a portfolio of NYC commercial properties, which he repositioned.
Prior to 701 Capital, Emerson worked as a management consultant, providing strategic advisory services to Fortune 100 clients. He has also held roles in private equity and corporate strategy roles at Fortune 500 companies.
Emerson has a BA in Economics from Rutgers University, and a MBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
